Noor Inayat Khan was an Indian princess, daughter of a Sufi Master, who used to write and tell stories to children. In this play of Cia Ópera na Mala, Cris Miguel plays the princess, telling beautiful traditional oral stories. The Fables bring back, in a fun and touching way, values like respect, harmony and beauty in the search for the truth. The play also brings another classic character from the Sufi Tradition, “Nasrudin”, played by Sergio Serrano, showing his humor and his disturbing logic.
The live music, with oriental instruments as sitar, tampura, tabla, derbak e bodran, also counts on the percussionist and singer Valeria Zeidan. The stories are illustrated with shadow theatre and puppets, which, in a soft form, aim to reach audiences of all ages, rescuing the ancestral function of telling a story.
The play lasts 50 minutes and it is targeted to children over 4.
