Once upon a time in Japan

Cia Ópera na Mala presents five tales based on traditional Japanese tales. Issum Boshi – the Japanese Little Thumb; Hagoromô – The Magic Veil; Tanabata Matsuri – Stars Festival; Kazajisou – The Straw Hat of Jizou and Urashimatarô; and Deep Sea Paradise, are the tales reinterpreted by the couple actors Cris Miguel & Sergio Serrano, who also play live music using traditional instruments (as shamisem and taiko), shadow theatre, puppets and children’s play.
